There's no single list of UK school dates. Every school sets its own. So Ottie fixes it the way school gates always have: parents helping parents.

How does Ottie know?

How the dates get in.

  1. 1. Upload onceThe term-dates letter or PDF. You were doing it for yourself anyway.
  2. 2. Say who they're forThe whole school, a year group, or one class. Ottie passes them only to the families they apply to.
  3. 3. A second family confirmsThe next family to join sees them marked “added by a parent”, with the letter attached, and confirms with one tap.
  4. 4. Changes are checked and announcedA shared date changes only after confirmation, and every family who has it is told.

Only what's yours.

Some dates are for everyone. Some are only for Year 2, or Robins class. Ottie knows which year and class each of your children is in, so every date reaches the families it's for, and you never see another class's.

What's never shared.

  • Nothing about your child. Ever.
  • Nothing you CC or share with Ottie. Only the dates a parent chose to pass on.
  • Spot a wrong date? Flag it. It's fixed after confirmation, every family is told, and you'll be rewarded for catching it.

First at your school? You're the champion.

  • Your first name and initial on the school calendar, if you want it.
  • A proper thank-you from Ottie once another family uses your dates.
  • A count of the families you've saved from typing them in.
You've saved 14 Oakfield families from typing in term dates.

Bring your class.

You get your own invite: a link and a QR code that are yours, so Ottie knows who brought each family in. Drop the link in the class WhatsApp, or show the code at the gate.
